Not only did the Hensley family from Port St. Lucie land in the Guinness World Record book Sunday, but Matt and Mike Hensley placed in the top 10 — out of more than 20,000 runners — at the Walt Disney World Marathon.

Matt, 25, finished third overall in 2:24:58. He was the first American to cross the finish line. Brother Mike, 27, finished sixth in 2:37:43.

The remaining two Hensley brothers finished in the top 20. Bobby, 28, finished 11th in 2:44:23 and Jeff, 23, finished 17th in 2:47:24.

The family set the world record because all seven Hensleys — parents Bob and Mary and children Bobby, Mike, Matt, Jeff and Kelly — completed the race. They became the largest family of multiple generations to complete the same marathon on the same day.
